Podcast listenership is huge now. You know that it helps Donald Trump win elections, Momentous to skyrocket in sales, and puts some people at celebrity status.
But you know the hard part, finding the right podcasts for your clients is difficult as there are over 3M+ podcasts. It's like finding a needle in a haystack. Our customers (PR pros like you) have used it to nail thousands of podcast outreach wins. Here’s how you can, too.
Finding the Right Podcast for You and Your Clients
You can start from the Podseeker search page and type in the topics that you're interested in. For example, let's try searching for health podcasts.
There will be plenty of results so the first step is to filter out some irrelevant ones. Our recommendation is to always filter out for active podcasts (last episode within the past 2 months) and "Has guests" so you can be sure that the podcasts you're targeting is open to getting your clients booked.
There are still over 28000 podcasts so we should try to filter it down into the right segmentation of health.
Perhaps your specialty of health is in cancer. We can add cancer in and further narrow down the list of results. Now, 'health cancer' returns less than 1000 podcasts so we're in a much better spot. The first few results are definitely on point: How To Be WellnStrong, The YMYHealth Podcast, and Mortal and Strong are good podcasts to target.

Evaluating Podcast Relevance
To do an effective podcast outreach, you want to make sure that the topics match. Clicking on How To Be WellnStrong, you'll be taken to that podcast page where you can do further inspection.
We have a section called 'Recent Hosts, Guests, and Topics' for you to quickly figure out if this is a podcast worth pursuing. From the recent topics, Jacqueline is talking about manifestations, wellness, faith, etc. Very quickly, it feels like an alternative medicine to cancer podcasts. This may or may not be suitable for your client. This is why we present all this information to you so you can make an informed decision.

Further down you can see on her YouTube that she is a cancer survivor and wrote a thesis on "integrative medicine as an alternative to conventional cancer treatment". Very powerful. Your client may be a medical doctor who's for conventional cancer treatment and would love to go on her podcast to discuss and debate about conventional cancer treatment versus alternatives. Heck, we all know the Steve Jobs cancer story. Or, your client can be into the holistic medication, wellness, and would love to appear on this podcast to discuss how to improve overall well being.

Understanding Previous Guests
The "Previous Guests" section further gives more information about recent guests who've been on the show and their bio. Here's some examples:
- Gina Pope is a wellness advocate and speaker who engages in discussions about faith and emotional well-being. As a cousin of host Jacqueline Genova, she brings a personal touch to the conversation, sharing insights on trusting God amidst emotional challenges and aligning thoughts with scripture.
- Jo Hargreaves is a psychotherapist, writer, and speaker based in the UK. She focuses on the gifts, potential, and purpose of every individual through a holistic approach that integrates spirit, soul, and body.
- Jake Beaudry is a co-founder of Rawr Organics, a company dedicated to creating high-protein, healthy snack options. With a passion for nutrition and wellness, Jake has been instrumental in developing protein bars that are not only nutritious but also delicious.
So, from the guests and their bio, you can deduce that it's a holistic wellness podcast. The host is a cancer survivor so for your cancer target, this podcast is on point.

Organizing Your Podcast Outreach
Now, let's say this is a good fit, you can add this to a podcast media list so you can organize your outreach later. This podcast list is also visible amongst your team so you can collaborate your podcast outreach efforts. To add this podcast, you can click on 'Add to List' and call it 'Cancer outreach'.

Note: You can create multiple media lists to bucket each podcast into different categories of outreach. For example, this podcast might be on the lower priority of your target since it's about alternative care to cancer versus cancer research.
We built the PodSeeker UI so it's easy to track podcasts that are already added. When you add a podcast to a list, that list shows up on the search page so you can easily skip it as you're finding podcasts to curate.

Crafting Personalized Pitches
Say you're ready to do some outreach, you can use PodSeeker's personalized pitch tool to craft a compelling pitch to be a guest on How To Be WellnStrong podcast. Here, I'm using a persona of person who graduated as a biomedical researcher but understands the needs for holistic healing to improve one's quality of life.
I click on 'Create Pitch' and enter in the client's name and bio. This is the bio I use:
Oky Sabeni is a certified holistic wellness coach, author, and speaker dedicated to helping people reclaim their health through natural healing methods. He earned his degree in Biomedical Engineering from Emory University in Atlanta, where he conducted cancer research and explored the science behind disease prevention. Through this work, he came to understand that true healing isn’t just about medicine—it’s also about mindset, nutrition, and holistic well-being.
After facing his own struggles with chronic fatigue and digestive issues, Oky turned to functional medicine and holistic practices to heal himself. This experience ignited his passion for integrative health and led him to launch Vital Balance, a platform that educates and empowers individuals to take charge of their well-being. Through his podcast and writing, he shares evidence-based insights on holistic healing, functional nutrition, and the mind-body connection.
Believing that true health is about addressing root causes rather than masking symptoms, Oky advocates for a personalized approach to wellness—one that blends science with ancient healing traditions. His mission is to make holistic health accessible to everyone, helping them achieve lasting vitality and balance.

Note: You can create a client profile and then use the same client profiles for different podcast pitches.
Refining Your Pitch
After creating the pitch, you're taken to the pitch page where you can see the personalized pitch and easily copy it with one click. You can also alter it with feedback and the AI will take that suggestion.
In this case, I added that "add that oky is a cancer survivor just like jacqueline". This vibes well because the podcast host is also a cancer survivor. The feedback section is useful to add little information like that. Something that connects the client with the host. Other examples includes belonging to the same club, went to the same school, etc. This is a chance to make it personal.
You can see the output is as follows:
Hi Jacqueline,
I'm reaching out because I've been really impressed by the depth and diversity of topics covered on "How To Be WellnStrong." Your episode with Dr. Nathan S. Bryan on the crucial role of nitric oxide in cardiovascular and brain health was particularly insightful and aligns well with holistic approaches to wellness.
I'd like to introduce you to Oky Sabeni, a certified holistic wellness coach and author with a background in Biomedical Engineering from Emory University. Oky's journey from conducting cancer research to overcoming his own chronic health challenges through functional medicine and holistic practices offers a compelling perspective that resonates with your audience's interests in integrative medicine and mental health. Moreover, as a cancer survivor, just like you, Oky brings a uniquely personal understanding of health challenges and the power of holistic healing.
Oky is the founder of Vital Balance, a platform dedicated to empowering individuals to take charge of their health by addressing root causes and embracing a personalized approach to wellness. His expertise in functional nutrition, the mind-body connection, and evidence-based holistic healing methods could greatly complement your podcast's mission to inspire and motivate listeners.
Having been featured in a variety of wellness forums and podcasts, Oky has cultivated a reputation for making holistic health accessible and relatable. He'd love to share insights on topics such as the integration of ancient healing traditions with modern science, as well as the importance of mindset in achieving lasting vitality and balance.
For more about Oky, you can visit his website at Vital Balance.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on featuring Oky on your podcast. Let me know if this is a fit!
See the section where it incorporates your personal feedback:
"Moreover, as a cancer survivor, just like you," This adds that personal touch. It's not AI. It's just AI helping you craft your message. It's still your voice. That's why we built it. AI should not replace humans, but complement it.
The pitch takes into account the client's background and why it would be a good fit for the podcast. Here's an example:
Oky's journey from conducting cancer research to overcoming his own chronic health challenges through functional medicine and holistic practices offers a compelling perspective that resonates with your audience's interests in integrative medicine and mental health
The AI understands that the content of the podcast is about holistic medication and matches it with your client's profile.

If your client is against it and would like a debate or deeper discussion, you can add that into the feedback that actually the client believes that alternative healing is causing more harm than good. Podcast hosts may be open minded to have a guest to have this debate on. We need more nuanced discussion in this world and podcast is one way through that.
Once you're happy with the pitch, you can use the contact emails we have for the podcast to do your outreach. We have comprehensive podcast contact information since we aggregate contact information from their website, socials, RSS, and more.
